VE2OJMULTI-OPThis year we had a lot of challenges with hydro noise (S9+) during the firstnight and later on Saturday our inverted-L antenna was affected by the ice, snow and freezing rain, raising the antenna SWR. We had no option but move to the lower edge of the ban
VE3CVASSISTED HIGHBest minute at 0207Z Sunday - 4X2M, LZ9W, TC0X each with one call. Amazing opening to Zone 20....barely heard on first night.
VE3DSASSISTED LOWGreat fun this year, and a thrill to work Europe with my small antenna.
VE3PNSINGLE-OP HIGHWOW Band opened nicely to europe ran lots of 10 pointers for once still no SD or ND
VE6UMSINGLE-OP LOWLots could not hear my 100w signal to inverted L. Tough band.
VK2GRSINGLE-OP HIGHDifficult QRN on both evenings. Antenna: full length 160m incerted vee.
VK3IOSINGLE-OP HIGHSurprising low noise and good conditions in VK3, considering the high levels of tropical storms within Australia northern tropical zones. These storms would have prevented any activity in the contest from northern VK2 & VK6, VK4 and VK8 areas. I also note
VK3MISINGLE-OP LOWFLEX-6400 100W T vertical with 4 x elevated radials
VU2BGSSINGLE-OP LOWEver increasing noise levels , no station was over s4 , My sigs were on the back side of most receive antennas !! hope to improve on RX system soon 73 to all
W0FLSASSISTED HIGHPart time effort. Some good prop to both EU and Asia.
W0ODSSINGLE-OP HIGHStarted the contest prepared, with all equipment ready. Was notified by a friend after several hours of running that my TX signal had deteriorated. The 25 year old Kachina 505 transceivers are ageing poorly. Time for a new rig. I did a bit more S&P on Fri
W0YJTSINGLE-OP QRPWell I decide to play with my K2 qrp turned out to be a lot of work
W1CTNASSISTED HIGHGreat contest...worked many friends
W1DYJASSISTED LOW3 Dupes -- "real" claimed score = 36520
W1HISASSISTED HIGHOne antenna for TX & RX: a wire doublet 70 ft (21m) long & 30 ft (9m) high.
W1LQSINGLE-OP LOWOperated from Harrington, Maine, at my former residence (now second home), which is where the antennas are. Just an indoor piece of wire here in Ellsworth, Maine.
W1NNSINGLE-OP LOWRemote from Japan.
W1PDISINGLE-OP LOWConditions were surprisenly good
W1QKSINGLE-OP LOWThank you for sponsoring the contest.
W3USASINGLE-OP LOWGood to be able to fire up with a new callsign for the second night, rather than being forced forced to waste time trying to find somebody I had not worked the first
W3WHASSISTED HIGHlOTS OF FUN AND GOOD SIGNALS
