VA3SBSINGLE-OP LOWFun contest. Hope to operate a little longer next year.
VA6BGESINGLE-OP LOWLicenced in 2020. Currently on CWOps training. 43GP antenna with Palstar AT2K Tuner.
VE3DQNSINGLE-OP QRPFT-450D @5wts, 160m dipole @40ft
VE3DSSINGLE-OP LOWHad a great time this year. Did a bit better too. Will look at more improvements next year.
VE3PNSINGLE-OP HIGHHeating system out so using wood stove limited time on many Eu's were loud at grey line
VE3VYASSISTED LOWOnly single-element wire antennas used ....
VE5CPUSINGLE-OP HIGHJust a few hours of Sat night fun. 160 is by no means a good band for me, but it's nice to try for a little DX.
VE6TNSINGLE-OP LOWJust hamming around on a lazy weekend .... It was fun!
VE7BVASSISTED HIGHMy inverted vee had broken on one side 40 feet from the end...forced contacts with a tuner but it was tough going this year
VE7CAASSISTED HIGHRFI always an issue on 160M living on a small city lot with 5 neighbours living with 50 ft. of my QTH. But with a vertical T transmit ant., a terminated small rx. loop and antenna noise cancellor I had good time and even worked a new country. Goo
VL2GSINGLE-OP HIGHVery heavy evening QRN made it difficult for NA. In the morning near VK sunrise the band was wide open to EU.
VO1NASINGLE-OP HIGHAll QSOS during daylight with help from hb nanokeyer.
W0ORASSISTED HIGHPoorest conditions in quite a few years. Activity seemed down. No Europe in the Upper Midwest.
W0YJTSINGLE-OP QRPQRP is very hard plus fustrating buisness
W0ZWSINGLE-OP HIGHCndx were pretty good. Only limited time in the chair. Good participation on the band. Inverted-V Xmit antenna plus 4-direction Beverage Rx. Nice to see the activity on the Top Band.
W1IGSINGLE-OP QRPNew 160 Antenna worked much better. Horizontal Center fed "U" Dipole.
W1NDSINGLE-OP QRPAfter working the NAQCC 160M QRP Sprint earlier this week for 2 hours and getting 6 contacts, this was a breeze with 60. Actually started out at 3W and fixed that about 10 contacts in. Fun contest, great test of my 84FT Wire in a 40FT tree and 5W.
W1NNSINGLE-OP LOWRemote from Japan. My regular 160 antenna is not accessible due to the failure of my remote Internet switch so I used my coax-fed 80 meter dipole. I was also having trouble with my CW speed increasing and decreasing by itself. Not sure if the pro
W1QKSINGLE-OP LOWThanks for the contacts and fun on the radio. Thanks to CQ for sponsoring the contest. 73 - Dan, W1QK
W1WEFSINGLE-OP HIGHReally enjoyed the first night and hated the second. After 6 hours with rates of 100 / hour the first night it was too slow to take the second. Lots of local noise that would come and go.
W2CCCASSISTED HIGHWas minus 28 Sunday morning...
W3BGNSINGLE-OP HIGHDue to living in the woods with the Ash borer and trees falling, I have no fully functional 160 meter antennas...
W4VGSINGLE-OP HIGH200 Watts into an 80m OCFD. I really should put up an inverted L or something for 160m.
W6JTISINGLE-OP LOWNationwide QRN and poor propagation made this contest a real struggle for me.
W6PHSINGLE-OP HIGHGood conditions Friday night. Poor conditions Saturday night.
W6SIYASSISTED LOWOnly operated the first night due to Winter Field Day participation. Corrected typing error to call W7RH at 0429Z on 1-29-22.
W7DRASINGLE-OP HIGHall want fine except i lost an 866 rectifier the second night. so much for WWII tubes
W7MEMASSISTED HIGHSLEEP Good
W7XZSINGLE-OP LOWReplaced RX loop used in previous year with two Flags oriented in opposite directions of each other. The difference was quite dramatic, especially for Far East.
W8LVNSINGLE-OP LOWAchieved the total of my last two runnings of this contest, so happy about that. Worked the usual small number of Carribian stations, and many states Started 90 minutes late, which probably cost a handful of QSOs
