EI7MMULTI-OPWe think these were the worst conditions we've ever experienced on 160m. Even local stations (e.g. Germany) were incredibly weak, making it impossible to build up a good QSO total. Propagation to NA was at a bare minimum, but every call and contact was very much appreciated! 73, de EI7M

HA8WYSINGLE-OP LOWMy radio is an old Icom 765 with a Colibrinano SDR as panadapter. My antenna is a 22 mtrs tall ground mounted vertical with 60 radials and a CG-3000 ATU at the base. Terminated loop for receiving.
HB9CXZASSISTED HIGHDue to very strong broadband interference, I conducted the entire contest using a small magnetic listening antenna. I missed a few QSOs because they were too weak. I'm sorry for the stations who called me and I couldn't copy them. I hope I still have the energy to participate next year, it will be 70 years and the night between Saturday and Sunday is getting harder and harder. 73, Luis HB9CXZ
HB9EHJASSISTED LOWaround 6m vertical with loading coil at my balcony.
HK4LRMMULTI-OPGreat and a hard work to try this band
IB8ASINGLE-OP HIGHThanks to Pat I8QLS for using this big station !

JE1SPYSINGLE-OP LOWIt was the 5th CQ 160m contest since the 160m SSB was lifted in Japan. The Japanese SSB band has a width of only 30KHz from 1845 to 1875KHz. Please attention, JA stations can tranmit on 1848kHz low edge. In Europe and the United States, band plans are not laws and there are no penalties, but in Japan they are legal, so if we do not follow the band plan, we will be sentenced to imprisonment or a fine at worst. During the CQ160m contest, in Europe and the United States, the entire 160m band is almost filled with SSB, regardless of the band plan, regardless of the band plan. However, from Japan, only about half of these operating Western countries are in the Japanese SSB band, so it is not possible to call more than half of the stations. Western stations sometimes watch the Japanese SSB band (1848-1875KHz). My antenna is a Micro Vert it's length is only 4meters and 15meters high from ground. It has a only one radial which length a only 30meters length.

K1EPSINGLE-OP LOWThanks to K6RO for the use of his station for this contest. What torture. 160M SSB, low power, unassisted near the peak of the solar cycle doesn't produce any sustained runs. Self spotting would have helped this contest. Missed many states and pr
K2PISINGLE-OP QRPFirst night, conditions were good until thunderstorms started in the Caribbean, and propagation brought them to me. Receive antenna helped, but many did not hear me. Second night, conditions were much worse, and I had worked most everyone I could The furthest station I heard was CO, and he could not hear me and he always had many callers. Also heard RI, but he did not hear me. Equipment: K3 @5W, Inverted-L, 500 foot receive beverage terminated towards the west.
K2TRSINGLE-OP HIGHShort entry after a day of troubleshooting at K2LE/1.

K4ISVASSISTED HIGHAntenna is a pair of verticals in phase. Full size NE/SW/ALL
K4JPDASSISTED HIGHjust played for a little bit friday night.
K4PZZASSISTED LOWA sad little inverted-V doublet strung between two trees, barely an 80m antenna but with enough spins on the roller inductor, I can convince it to work on 160m... barely. The real kudos goes to all 6 stations that could somehow hear me.
K5NZASSISTED HIGH160 SSB..... Never again!!!!
K5RXSINGLE-OP HIGHNot much time on the air, just 5 hours. It would have been more, but line noise appeared on the normally noise-free NE Beverage. It kicked up the nolse floor by 10 dB and sometimes more. I do not know how I was able to pull EI7M out of it.
K5TDASSISTED LOWI have not had much activity on 160m since getting licensed so decided to stay up late and make an attempt at this contest. This was a good time to test out my new homemade 160 antenna, with a contact to Galapagos island and one to Ireland I will
K5XUSINGLE-OP LOWVery high local noise level this weekend.
K6FASINGLE-OP HIGHBand condition was really poor here on the west coast.
K6NRSINGLE-OP HIGHI worked what I could hear, who could hear me. Many stations couldn't hear my 400 watts to an inverted L. Clearly folks like K1LZ have good listening antennas. On the second night the band seemed almost dead, I could hear maybe 3 stations.
K9SGASSISTED HIGHNot very many people on and conditions were not good. Worked the Indiana station remotely from Scottsdale, Arizona
K9WNSINGLE-OP HIGHHad trouble "logging" at first. (My crayon broke) Had to resort to my back up with computer.
KB0ARZSINGLE-OP LOWI had surgery on my ear just before the contest. We will be back next year.
