| 4F2KWT | SINGLE-OP HIGH | Always an enjoyable time doing this contest. Quarter-wave vertical on the beach makes for a fantastic antenna. |
| 4L5P | SINGLE-OP QRP | Long Wire Dipole Antenna 160M. The height of the tower is 30M. |
| 4U1A | SINGLE-OP QRP | TS-890S, Dipole @85m AGL The worst propogation in my memory since 2012. Every QSO is a battle. I couldn't reach several EU mults. Only 3 QSOs with NA: K3ZM, K1LZ and ZF5T have fantastic "ears" ! |
| 4Z4KX | ASSISTED LOW | Simple long wire 33m lies on the several trees |
| 7Z1SJ | ASSISTED LOW | sloper antenna |
| 8J1ITA | SINGLE-OP LOW | I enjoyed the contest. |
| 9A3XV | ASSISTED LOW | LW for 80m, 39m long, tuned with automatic ATU. |
| 9A5M | ASSISTED HIGH | CQWW 160cw is over This was a very tough contest, Aurora ruined better results. Congratulations to everyone, including those who were hiding their online scores. I used phased verticals with elevated radials, along with a single vertical also equipped with elevated radials. For RX, I used 3× Beverage antennas and a K9AY. + TS 890s 73, GL Marin 9A5M |
| AA1SU | SINGLE-OP LOW | One rusty dipole up 30' with two 90 degree bends. |
| AA4HG | SINGLE-OP LOW | Sloper with the apex at approximately 40' in the bough of a tree. |
| AA7V | SINGLE-OP LOW | Not sure if this qualifies. Coax shield clamped to tower leg up 30 ft. Coax center connected to 120 ft wire where that slopes down to a tree at 10 ft. 73 |
| AC4G | ASSISTED HIGH | Began operating Friday night for few hours. Most DX seemed weak. Gave it up around 0530Z. Began at 2246Z Saturday night. After a few QSOs noticed SWR too high. ICE from severe winter weather had iced all of my antennas forcing me to shut down at 2320Z. Overnight, temperatures reached 45 degrees allowing the ice to melt. On Sunday began at 21:29Z hoping to make few more QSOs until contest ended at 2200Z was able to only squeeze in 8 QSOs. The ice storm really put a dent in my operating Saturday night. Good luck to all ops who dodged this storm in the U.S.. |
| AC7A | SINGLE-OP LOW | Newly constructed by me, 59' tall, top-loaded vertical antenna. Resonant on 1.835 MHz. |
| AC8CE | ASSISTED LOW | 43 Ft vertical. |
| AE1T | ASSISTED LOW | Drooping 80m dipole. |
| AF4PX | SINGLE-OP LOW | Dipole @ 35" |
| AG9A | SINGLE-OP LOW | Compressed 40m EFHW used for antenna (TX and RX). |
| AI5G | ASSISTED LOW | 135 ft end-fed wire with center at 25 ft and several ground radials |
| AJ1G/M | SINGLE-OP LOW | Operated again as a mobile on Stonington Point in Stonington CT. Other committments and extreme cold weather limited my activity to just a few hours on Friday evening. Used my nominal 21 foot base loaded "DX Skimmer" fixed mobile antenna made from a 2 piece ribbed aluminum telescoping pool skimmer poie and a 4 foot hamstick stinger, supported in a sailboat type mast step in the left rear corner of our 2012 Tacoma 4x4 truck bed. Series L loading and shunt L impedance match at feed point. IC-7100 at 100 watts. No external radials, just the truck body as a counterpoise. Paper logging and duping, transcribed to Cabrillo post contest. High winds from the west coming up 100 miles of Long Island Sound were rocking the truck and appeared to throw off the antenna tuning somewhat as the stinger on top moved around. Also made taking the antenna down at the end of the session interesting, the side load of the antenna tubing in the mast step made it a real chore to pull the antanna out of the step. The mast then became an an insanely heavy light saber to keep control of when it finally popped out of the step! Was concerned about propagation following the big geomnagnetic storm earlier in the week and the associated polar cap absorbrtion radiation storm, but overall signals were failry strong and band noise low. Looking forward to the ARRL DX CW Test! 73 DBF and ZUT de Chris AJ1G |
| BG2KZP | SINGLE-OP LOW | 66FT END-FED WIRE, 40FT ABOVE GROUND AT ITS HIGHEST POINT. |
| BI4PYM | SINGLE-OP LOW | Random Wire Antenna with ATU |

| CT1FJO | SINGLE-OP LOW | Inverted L, with 4 radials |
| CT7/G4BJM | ASSISTED LOW | Inverted L @ 10m |
| DA1TT | ASSISTED HIGH | It was nice to work with so many stations again. But not easy with static on the antennas. Unfortunately, not much S&P. Some "dipole"guys block the S&P stations. The new 3-circle antennas worked quite well. A big thank you to my friend Paolo, DJ5PT. |
| DA6A | ASSISTED LOW | Dipole @ 12m high |
